Mozpad

Mozpad stands for Mozilla Platform Application Developers. It is a community of companies, organizations and individuals that are using Mozilla technologies to develop their products.

Mozpad supporters hail from organizations such as AllPeers, Songbird, IBM, the Mozilla Foundation, TomTom, Citizen Agency, Thunderbird, Flock, ActiveState, and Joost to name a few.

Mozpad is not a replacement for developer.mozilla.org. Its focus is on fostering adoption of Mozilla technologies, whether by developers of complex Firefox extensions, standalone apps on top of Mozilla, remote XUL applications or embedders. It is a place for Mozilla application developers and developers of the Mozilla platform to meet and discuss. It is not a documentation site.

twentyafterfour : I just posted a copy of my IRC Client logs: second_meeting_transcript.

Principle conclusions:

• The moon.mozpad.org aggregate weblog is live and the feed is working. It needs a new skin but this isn’t particularly urgent. We’re waiting for the newsgroup to be set up.
• It’s too soon for any press activities announcing Mozpad, such as a press release.
• “Goals” should be renamed “Proposed actions items”, with some consolidation and reworking.
• We need to agree on a single overarching “goal”.
• Once the proposal action items are drafted, people should write up a more detailed description of what they are intending to do so that the group can decide whether the item is appropriate.
• This wiki page is getting big and we should split into subpages.

Does DokuWiki support a MediaWiki “Watch” equivalent feature, e.g. email notification of changed pages?

• Yes. First turn the feature on in Admin/Configuration Manager/Editing Settings/Enable page subscription support. You’ll then see a Subscribe Changes button on each page.

Can I view logs of the #mozpad IRC channel?

• Yes, look at thebot's moznet logs. The logs are rotated and put up there daily at 1pm Vienna time (CET/CEST). For further questions regarding thebot or the logs, contact KaiRo in the channel.
